As long as applicants pass the LSAT or GRE by January and meet the February 15 deadline, they will be fully considered and will not be at a competitive disadvantage in the admission process. Despite my childhood beliefs, my idea of the good guys and the bad guys had changed. I had been conditioned to believe that the boundaries were clear – those who applied the law and those who ignored it – good and evil. However, I have discovered that sometimes those who have badges, brilliant degrees and high-level positions are the bad guys. Sometimes the bad guys have power, authority, wealth, and social respect. They sometimes sit in council chambers and county seats. They receive prizes and awards. They are on trial. You even become president. Applicants who apply for an advance ruling but do not meet the advance ruling deadline will automatically be considered for regular admission. If your application or required documents arrive late at LSAC, you may not receive an admission decision or scholarships until all others are completed.
For applicants who do not have a score in the files by the deadline, we will receive an update from the LSAC as soon as it has been processed. However, we do not review applications until all the necessary documents have been received. The Faculty of Law does not offer vouchers for the cost of services required from LSAC. While there`s nothing wrong with focusing on these areas, taking the time to highlight other areas of diversity could also help make your essay different from all other admissions agents will read. Pursuing this strategy also opens up the Diversity Statement to those who may not be described as “diverse” in one of the traditional areas. Other examples of diversity include serving in law enforcement or the military, living with a chronic illness or disability, competing in professional sports, or growing up in another country. If possible, we recommend that you write a diversity statement. Admissions officers and lecturers who have extensive experience in evaluating candidates from foreign law schools form the examination committee. Grades are assessed in the native system and scale. The committee will review everything contained in the application. A candidate with a college diploma does not necessarily have a competitive advantage over a candidate who does not have a college diploma. If your proposal involves fieldwork, consider the time it takes, your plan to integrate it with the required length of stay of the program, and the impact this plan may have on your project design or completion.
