Robert Walters Interim Legal

After six successful years as a lawyer, I began to feel frustrated and lost my passion for the practice. I was looking for other career opportunities that would offer greater job satisfaction when a friend who worked at Robert Walters introduced the idea of working in legal recruitment. As I reflected on my strengths and career goals, I realized that hiring lawyers would be a perfect fit for me, as it would allow me to use my knowledge of the local market to add value and build closer working relationships with my clients. Our in-depth knowledge and understanding of the UK recruitment market allows us to tailor our services to help each individual find their next career opportunity, while providing excellent recruitment services before, during and after the recruitment process. Since my arrival in 2012, I have been promoted three times to head of the legal and corporate secretariat. In addition to the promotion to the position of manager, I had the opportunity to further expand the legal and general secretariat field, and I now have two direct reports under me. On a few occasions, my clients have said that I really understand the type of candidates they are looking for, and I would attribute this to my industry knowledge and background. As a former lawyer, I am able to speak the same language as my clients and candidates, which allows me to better identify with them. My experience abroad has also been very beneficial as it has allowed me to develop a wider awareness of different work cultures. This makes it easier for me to identify the right matches between employer and candidate and shorten the recruitment process for our clients.

Robert Walters is a leading global executive search firm that brings together sought-after employees with high-level permanent, contract and interim positions in a range of business-critical disciplines. During the conversation, I was asked if I would consider joining Robert Walters to do pioneering work in the legal department. The idea of creating a specialized legal recruitment department piqued my interest as I was looking for more autonomy in my career and was looking for a change, even though I had some doubts due to my lack of recruitment experience. However, during a tour of the Kuala Lumpur office, I got a glimpse of Robert Walters` vibrant and vibrant culture and immediately knew this would be the right place for me. In 2012, I was looking for new job opportunities in the legal industry and contacted Robert Walters to see if they could help me. The management team found that I had experience in private practice and internal roles in Hong Kong and Malaysia and contacted me for an interview. Are you interested in a career with us?
